چکیده

Biodiesel side stream waste glycerol was identified as a cheap carbon source for rhamnolipids (RLs) production which at the same time could improve management of waste. The present study aimed to produce RLs by using Pseudomonas aeruginosa RS6 utilizing substrate and evaluate their physico-chemicals properties. Fermentation conditions such temperature, initial medium pH, concentration, nitrogen sources concentrations resulted in different compositions mono- di-RLs produced. maximum 2.73 g/L obtained when P. grown basal salt supplemented with 1% 0.2 M sodium nitrate 35 °C pH 6.5. At optimal fermentation conditions, emulsification index (E24) values cooking oil, diesel benzene, olive petroleum, kerosene were all above E24=50%. surface tension reduction from 72.13 mN/m 29.4–30.4 better than activity some chemical-based surfactants. produced possessed antimicrobial activities against Gram-negative Gram-positive bacteria ranging 37% 77% growth inhibition 1 mg/mL used. Concentrations below 1500 ?g/mL did not induce phytotoxicity effects on tested seeds (Vigna radiata) compared chemical-based- surfactant, SDS. Furthermore, zebrafish (Danio rerio) embryos only exhibited low acute toxicity an LC50 value 72.97 48 h exposure suggesting green eco-biochemical worthy future applications replace

Improved Production of Rhamnolipids by a Pseudomonas aeruginosa Mutant

A Pseudomonas aeruginosa mutant derived by random mutagenesis with N-methyl-N¢-nitro-N-nitrosoguanidine, producing high levels of the rhamnolipid biosurfactants was selected on Siegmund-Wagner (SW) plates. The mutant designated P. aeruginosa PTCC1637 produces rhamnolipids at concentrations 10 time more than parent strain. NMR analysis and surface tension measurement showed that the biosurfactan...

Biosynthesis of Stable Antioxidant ZnO Nanoparticles by Pseudomonas aeruginosa Rhamnolipids

During the last several years, various chemical methods have been used for synthesis of a variety of metal nanoparticles. Most of these methods pose severe environmental problems and biological risks; therefore the present study reports a biological route for synthesis of zinc oxide nanoparticles using Pseudomonas aeruginosa rhamnolipids (RLs) (denoted as RL@ZnO) and their antioxidant property....
